Here are some tips for getting to your hotel independently if you miss the airport transfer, as well as details on how to get reimbursed for your transfer.
Access your hotel information
First, locate the name and address of your hotel. You can find this information in your EF Adventures app, which is available offline (no Wi-Fi or cellular data required). Learn how to find your hotel details.
Taxis and rideshare apps
We recommend using a trusted rideshare service or an official taxi.

Taxi tips:
- Always use official, licensed taxis, usually found in designated queues at airport pickup areas. If you’re unsure, ask airport staff to guide you to the official taxi queue and avoid taking taxis from drivers who approach you outside of this area.
- Before starting your ride, confirm the destination and agree on the fare. If the fare seems too high, ask an airport staff member for an estimate of the typical cost.
- Most taxis accept major credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), but it's always best to confirm with the driver. Some "cashless" locations only accept credit cards. If you plan to pay in cash, make sure the driver accepts cash before beginning your ride.

Rideshare tips:
- Uber and Lyft may not be available in all destinations.
- In some areas, local rideshare apps may be more common than Uber or Lyft.
- Be sure to follow the safety guidelines provided by the rideshare app you choose.
Public transportation
If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, public transportation is often available directly from the airport. For specific instructions on public transit options, reach out to your Tour Director through the EF Adventures app.

Missed transfer reimbursement
Don’t forget to keep your receipt! If you miss the prearranged group transfer, EF Adventures or the insurance company will reimburse the cost of your ride to the hotel.
