Travel best practices
If you take daily medications, it's important to pack enough for each day of tour, plus some extra in case you experience any delays. You should always pack medicine in your carry-on bag, rather than checked luggage. Prescriptions should be kept in their original containers/packaging with labels attached. To avoid delays or issues at the airport, we encourage traveling with a copy of your prescription and a note from your medical provider stating the medications are being used under a doctor's supervision and are necessary for your health while traveling.
Medication laws
We recommend contacting your physician or local pharmacist, in addition to the embassies of your destination countries prior to departure for information on restricted and prohibited medications. Each country has their own laws related to medicines. For example, some may only be allowed in the country with a proper medical certificate. You should research your medications months before your departure so you have plenty of time should you need to be prescribed any alternative medicines.
Refrigerated medication
If you have any medication that needs to be refrigerated while on tour, please let us know ahead of time by updating your health notes under the "Traveler details" section of your online account or mobile app. We'll make sure your hotel rooms have a refrigerator or that you can safely store your medicine with the front desk. To keep your medication cool while on the plane and in transit, you should purchase a medicine cooler/case that's designed for travel.
